Bulk MIDI → MusicianList
Convert multiple MIDI files into a MusicianList SavedVariables lua file.
Convert multiple MIDI files into a single MusicianList SavedVariables file for use with the Musician addon in World of Warcraft.
This tool allows you to import multiple MIDI files, configure conversion options, and generate a MusicianList.lua file that can be used to replace the MusicianList.lua saved variables file.
Optionally, you can also upload your own MusicianList.lua file to combine your already converted midi songs with your new midi files.
- Optionally, import your existing MusicianList.lua file to retain previously converted songs.
- Add MIDI files by dragging and dropping them into the designated area, or by using the file/folder pickers.
- Configure conversion options such as pitch-bend range and duplicate handling.
- Click "Convert & Build" to start the conversion process.
- Once completed, use the download button to download your file.
- Close the World of Warcraft client if it's running. If you do not, the version that exist in memory will overwrite your changes.
-
Locate your World of Warcraft SavedVariables folder, typically found at:
C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\_retail_\WTF\Account\<YourAccountName>\SavedVariables\
- Backup this file before replacing it in case there are issues.
- Replace your existing MusicianList.lua file in your World of Warcraft SavedVariables folder with the newly downloaded file.
For complex multi instrument midi files with string or brass instruments, consider enableing full pitch bend range. You should not enable this for piano midi files.
For large batches of midi files, consider enabling the skip duplicate songs option to avoid conflicts with existing songs in your library.
Ensure that the MIDI files you are uploading are not corrupted and are in a compatible format (.mid or .midi).
